When we adopted the boys I assumed that others would always know they are adopted. Why? Well they definitely do not resemble either me nor my husband. We are all different nationalities. The boys may never look like either my husband or I on the outside - but our goal is for them to resemble the good parts of us, the Godly parts of us on the inside. Every day each of us faces choices, some are small - what to wear, eat, say. Others are larger, should I take a job or move to a new state. Regardless, one of the hardest things to teach kids is the importance of their choices. How much more so when raising KOT (kids of trauma).
